The Power of Rediscovering Yourself

It hit me all at once. I felt this rush of something real that made me want to build something new from everything I had been through. It felt like all the love, grief and emotions transformed into adrenaline. It pushed me to start something.

After years of hesitating, quitting before the recital and staying quiet—I had a realization: I actually wanted something that was mine. And once I admitted that to myself, something clicked.

Since then, I’ve been nonstop.

Not in a stressed-out, to-do-list kind of way. But in that lit-up, can’t-wait-to-create kind of way. I spend my days working on this blog—my space. My thing. And at night? More ideas come. I open my Notes app like a woman possessed. I’m dreaming, writing, designing, building—and loving every minute of it.

It’s not just a project. It’s a rediscovery.

And it feels damn good.

Because here’s the thing no one tells you:

You can spend your whole life being the caretaker, the supporter, the one who makes things work for everyone else. You can go through loss, big life shifts, empty-nest adjustments, body changes, hormone rollercoasters, and still—still—have something inside you that’s quietly asking, What about me?

And if you feel even a flicker of that question—listen.

If you have the tiniest whisper of an idea, a curiosity, a pull toward something that’s just for you? Go with it. Chase it down. It’s not selfish. It’s not silly. It’s vital.

We get one shot at this life. And let’s be honest—it’s a bumpy, yet beautiful ride. Full of moments that either gut you or fill you up. Sometimes both.

But that little spark you feel? That’s your clue. That’s your “this matters.” It doesn’t have to be a business. It doesn’t have to be for anyone else. But it can be. And that’s beautiful too.

Whether it’s writing, painting, gardening, starting a side hustle, volunteering, or creating something out of thin air—you’re allowed to pursue it.

You’re allowed to rediscover who you are beyond the roles, the labels and expectations.

Your excitement for that “thing,” whatever it is, will take you where you’re meant to go. This thing that allows you to express who you are or just do what you love will display a side of you that the people around you will notice. Fulfilling yourself will actually fulfill those around you too. 💗

Yes, the road is winding. And yes, it might feel uncomfortable. But let’s be honest—straight roads are boring anyway.

So if something’s calling you…go for it.

Rediscover her. She’s still there.
