I don’t usually write about shopping here. Most of my posts are about the real-life changes that come with midlife, like grown kids, loss and figuring out what comes next. I promised to bring you real life in midlife though, and well, shopping is a real love of mine. I especially love a good deal, and I have a feeling a lot of you do too. With the holidays quickly approaching, now feels like the perfect time to talk about it.

Three lit candles with pine branches and gift boxes for holiday decor.

So this year I finally put together an Amazon Storefront full of the things my family and I actually use and love. This midlife holiday gift guide is a few of my favorites from it, with an honest reason for each one. Some I own, some my husband and sons swear by, and one or two are on my own wish list.

Gifts She’ll Love

Homemory Gray Flickering Flameless Candles
These are always number one on my list. I love little twinkling lights throughout the house, and these give me that cozy feeling anytime without the worry or the unwanted scent of a real candle.

Equibio Gold Bracelets Stack
These bracelets are so beautiful and easy to wear. They make such a pretty gift, and they look like the expensive brand. You honestly cannot beat this deal.

Kendra Scott Mini Elisa Necklace
This is the ultimate gift for any woman on your list, younger or older. It is dainty and tasteful, and it goes with everything.

Boyatu Travel Makeup Bag
This bag looks like it came from a designer, and it is the perfect size for all of my makeup and accessories. I love that it opens wide so I can reach everything easily, and it comes with two travel cases that fit right inside.

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
This book is the reason I finally took that scary step forward and started this blog. If there is a woman in your life who is standing at the edge of something new, this is the book I would hand her. I even wrote her a letter about it in Dear Mel Robbins...

Gifts for Him

3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station
This one goes everywhere with us, to every hotel and visit on sports trips and family travel. It sits on the nightstand at home too, so everyone’s devices are charged in one spot.

SEESII 8 Inch and 6 Inch Mini Chainsaw
My husband says this is the best thing ever, every single time he uses it. If the man in your life likes yard work, this is the one. Even if he doesn’t, he somehow will want to use it.

Loowoko Heated Vest for Men
This is a must if he is a sports dad or spends a lot of time at a cold ice hockey rink. It makes a world of difference.

Gifts for the Grown Kids

Fujifilm Instax Mini-12 Instant Camera
When I visited my son at college for family weekend, so many of the girls had one of these to capture memories of the day. The photos print quickly and are ready to see in just a few minutes, which makes them so much fun to share.

Libin Men’s Stretch Golf Pants
My boys love to golf, but they also just love wearing these pants, whether they are heading to school, to work or out on the course. They wash and dry beautifully, which is a big win in my house.

Sonos Roam 2 Speaker
The rich, quality sound from this speaker is unmatched. It makes an awesome gift for anyone on your list.

Dyson Airsmooth Styling Brush
I do not own this one, but It is apparently a must-have, and it is definitely something I would love. If your grown daughter or daughter-in-law loves her hair tools, this would be a showstopper.

A Few Things for You, Too

WIHOLL Women’s Long Sleeve Tunic
I love the layered look all in one piece. I substitute teach, and this tunic is comfy yet put together with pants, leggings or jeans. It also comes in so many colors.

Democracy Women’s “Ab”solution Itty Bitty Boot Jean
Mid-rise jeans are a must for my mom tummy and my short waist. These are the ones that win for me.

CRZ YOGA Anything
I mean it when I say anything. Their pants and tanks are my everyday favorites and this athletic jacket looks and feels just like the more expensive brands.

OFEEFAN Long Sleeve Dress
This empire waist dress is so soft and perfectly comfy, and it looks great with boots. There are so many color options for any holiday too!

Cushionaire Cozy Wedge Bootie
So cute! I need comfort in my boots, and this brand truly delivers. They come in wide width, which is exactly what these feet of mine need.

Harris Tweed Large Tote
This is so classically fall and winter, and it is officially on my list!

Before the Holiday Rush Begins

The holidays can be a lot, especially in midlife when we are often the ones making the season happen for everyone else. If you want a little something for yourself this season, my free 3-day email challenge, 3 Days to Feel Like Yourself Again, is a small way to start.

free 3-day challenge

3 Days To Feel Like Yourself Again

Some days get away from you before you even notice. That isn’t a flaw in you, it’s what happens when you’re carrying more than an ordinary day accounts for. For three days, I’ll send you one small thing to focus on, no to-do list, no overhaul, just one small win a day. By day three, you might feel like yourself again, and some days, maybe even a little more than that.

Happy shopping, friend. What’s on the top of your list this year?
