Some days, it’s the little things that bring us joy.

I thought I’d make this a fun post and share some of my favorite things with you. They are definitely not necessities (well, maybe a few), but are things that bring me some joy. Maybe this will inspire you to make a joy list of your own.

1. My Morning Walks

Movement, air, nature, headspace. Everything about all of that I love — and the birds singing too!
Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes a podcast, sometimes nothing at all.
It resets my mood almost every time. Plus, if I walk, I feel better about the chocolate I’m going to have later. 😉

This weighted vest gives me a little more workout to the walk.

2. My Coffee in a Yeti Mug

I need my coffee hot, and my Yeti mug is non-negotiable. It keeps my coffee warm while I do my morning routine, work, or just forget about it for 20 minutes. Check it out here on Amazon.

I recently discovered this coffee/espresso maker is my favorite of all time. I love my coffee hot and strong with some froth on top and this delivers!

3. Fresh Flowers on the Kitchen Table

There is nothing like freshly-cut, colorful flowers in a pitcher on my kitchen table. I spend a lot of time there and they just make me smile. When my mother was living with me, I brought home an arrangement of sunflowers and she never stopped talking about how beautiful they were! Since then, I try to keep the fresh flowers flowing—beautiful and happy memories of mom!

4. Juice Shots

5. Music In The Background

I love music (I also love to sing). It’s the first thing I turn on when I get to the kitchen for coffee in the morning. Music has always helped lift my mood, and I listen to it daily to bring positive energy to the day. This fills the room with happiness for me!

6. Makeup and Hair — Non-Negotiable (Most Days)

Unless I’m out walking or doing a workout, I always do my makeup and hair.
It’s just who I am — and everyone who knows me knows it.
Even if it’s just a good lip gloss💄 — I’m in.

7. A Lake View

I grew up spending summers on the lake. That view will be forever in my mind, along with the best friends and memories I have ever made. There is just something about a lake view and the fresh pine air that brings peace.

8. Chocolate. Obviously.

Dark chocolate. Chocolate with sea salt. Chocolate chips straight from the bag.
If it has chocolate in it, it has a place in my life and on this list.
It’s one of those small indulgences that I can’t live without. This one is my favorite because it’s actually guilt-free!! Mid-Day Squares are made from all natural organic ingredients and are protein-packed!! Definitely a must and you get a discount!! 🤩

9. Window Bird Feeders

I have completely fallen in love with watching the birds fly right to my windows to have a bite. There are so many that visit daily. And the colors! Amazing. When the Cardinal or Blue Jay shows up, I know it’s a special visitor. These are the ones I have!

10. A Decorated Mantel

No matter the season, my mantel is lit up with Luminara Flameless candles, fairy lights, and whatever garland fits the moment. It’s my cozy, joy-filled sanctuary—and the one spot in the house I never neglect.

11. Remembering Molly

My walks used to be shared with Molly, our yellow Lab who was more than just a pet — she was my shadow and the best kind of quiet companion.

I call her my daughter, because well, she was.
I still think of her on my walks, and I know one day I’ll have another four-legged friend to join me again.
For now, she’s part of the memory that brings me peace with every step. 🐾

What’s On Your Joy List?

Your list doesn’t have to look like mine. The important thing is that you have one!
Keep showing up for yourself with those small joys every day you can.
